StayLink Inc. ("StayLink", "we", "us", or "our") is a Delaware corporation operating the StayLink platform at staylinkapp.com. We act as the data controller for personal information collected through our platform.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

• Account information: name, email address, and password when you register
• Profile information: display name, biography, country of origin, profile photo
• Social media accounts: platform handles, follower counts, and profile URLs you connect
• Portfolio content: links to posts, videos, and creative work you add to your profile
• Property information: property name, address, photos, website, and social accounts
• Trip information: cities and dates of upcoming travel that creators choose to share
• Messages: content of conversations between Creators and Properties on the platform
• Reviews: written feedback submitted after a completed collaboration

Information collected automatically

• Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps
• Device information: device type and operating system
• Cookies and similar technologies: session tokens and preference cookies necessary for the platform to function

Information from third parties

• Google OAuth: name, email, and profile photo when you sign in with Google
• Instagram API: username and follower count when you connect your Instagram account
• YouTube API: channel name and subscriber count when you connect your YouTube channel
• Google Places API: publicly available property details (name, address, rating) for property verification

3. How We Use Your Information

• To operate the platform: creating and managing your account, displaying your profile to other users, and enabling messaging between Creators and Properties
• To facilitate matching: showing Creator profiles to Properties based on travel dates, niche, and location, and surfacing relevant invitations to Creators
• To process payments: managing Property subscriptions and billing via our payment processor
• To verify accounts: confirming that social media accounts and property listings are legitimate
• To communicate with you: sending transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, new messages) and, with your consent, product updates
• To improve the platform: analyzing usage patterns to understand how features are used and where we can improve
• To ensure safety: detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these circumstances:

• With other users: your public profile (name, photo, social accounts, portfolio, and reviews) is visible to logged-in users of the opposite type — Creators see Property profiles, Properties see Creator profiles
• Service providers: we share data with vendors who help us operate the platform, including Supabase (database and authentication), our payment processor, and email delivery providers. These vendors process data only on our behalf and under confidentiality obligations
• Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of StayLink, our users, or the public
• Business transfers: if StayLink is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the same privacy protections

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes (such as billing records, which we retain for 7 years).

Messages and collaboration records may be retained for up to 90 days after account deletion to allow for dispute resolution.

6. Cookies

We use cookies strictly necessary for the platform to function: session authentication cookies and user preference cookies. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will prevent you from signing in to StayLink.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage for sensitive data, and access controls limiting who on our team can access user data. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@staylinkapp.com.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction: request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Deletion: request that we delete your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Portability: request your data in a machine-readable format
• Opt-out of marketing: unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email

California residents may also exercise rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information).

9. International Users

StayLink is operated in the United States. If you access the platform from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using StayLink, you consent to this transfer.

We make reasonable efforts to comply with applicable data protection laws in the jurisdictions where our users are located, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users in the European Economic Area.

10. Children

StayLink is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a minor, we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the platform before the change takes effect. Your continued use of StayLink after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
